Success criteria & measures

How success is recognised

Success criteria and measures allow a team to define the extent to which they achieved their goal. It is important to keep criteria and/or measures

  • simple

  • relevant

  • worth pursuing

  • achievable within the constraints of time and resources

The purpose of success criteria is to provide guidance for creating success measures. It is the measures that are most important and which indicate the degree to which criteria were met.

An example

Success criteria

  • Is there an increase in the number of authentic and practical problem-solving activities?
